The Jury's decisions will primarily be based on the following criteria:

• Relevance in addressing the given theme.
• Respect of the format and guidelines.
• Quality and originality of the concept.
• If used, relevant integration of AI in the trailer.
• Personal appreciation and emotions evoked.

Evaluation of the competing films is holistic; no criterion takes precedence over another.

Several awards will be presented during the Meta Pitch Contest: The Grand Jury Prize, the Public Choice Award, and the Special Jury Prize.

Among the prizes to be won:

• Participation in funding of €20,000
• Participation in post-production of €10,000 by TitraFilm
• Creative Cloud licenses
• Detailed analysis of the potential of your series with Betaseries FORECAST

Since your trailer will not be commercialized, you are free to use AI tools that you find relevant, but we recommend using AI tools that respect the copyright of source images, like Adobe Firefly. We need to know the list of AI tools used in your explanatory PDF document accompanying your trailer.

1. Find inspiration and come up with an idea for your TV Series based on the given theme.
2. Create your trailer and your one pager in an accepted format. Practice your presentation so that it does not exceed 10 minutes in length.
3. Submit your application through the Google form by 6 pm (Paris Time) on January 14th, 2024 in order to be considered for the contest.
4. Pre-Selection: 6 projects will be pre-selected to participate in a presentation of their project in front of a jury of international producers, distributors, acquisitions executives and media professionals in our exclusive virtual space “Newen Meta Sky”. The 6 selected applicants to present their projects in the Metaverse will be announced on February 2nd, 2024.
5. Practice makes perfect: Attend a training session on February 8th or 9th, 2024 to learn how to use the virtual space and create your avatar.
6. First Round Presentation: The 6 pre-selected applicants will present their projects in the Newen Meta Sky on February 13th, 2024, during a dedicated half-day event. Each presentation should last no more than 10 min, followed by a 5 min exchange with the jury.
7. Final Round Presentation: The top 2 selected projects will be invited to the final round at the Series Mania festival, where they will present their project in person. The top 2 selected projects will be announced on February 17th, 2024 and will participate in person in the final selection at the Series Mania Forum between March 19th and March 21rst, 2024.
8. Announcement of winner: The winner of the Grand Jury will be announced after the final pitch at Series Mania.

Newen will reimburse, upon submission of the relevant receipts, transportation expenses up to a limit of 900€ per participant, and accommodation expenses up to a limit of 300€ per participant. Participants will be responsible for organizing and making their own travel arrangements.
